The equipment listed below is permanently installed in Goddard Laboratories 101:
- centralized control of audiovisual system
• control touch panel/cable cubby at center of instructor table
- 1 installed video projector
- 1 installed video display
- recommended display resolution is 1920 x 1080 at 60Hz
- electronically operated projection screen is controlled:
• by turning the system on or off
• using the wall-mounted switch
- computer with Macintosh OS operating system
• please note that there is no optical drive attached to this computer
- VGA and HDMI inputs to attach laptop computer to the projection/audio systems
• please note that laptop users may need to provide an adapter to use this feature
• please note that laptop Internet connectivity is available via AirPennNet only
- Blu-ray™ player
- high-density wireless Internet access (AirPennNet)
Recording and distance-enabling technology installed in Goddard Laboratories 101:
- wireless microphone system for recording and/or dual delivery instruction
• 1 lavalier microphone
- camera for recording and/or dual-delivery instruction
• 1 fixed camera facing the presenter/front of the classroom
- please note that recording and/or dual-delivery features are available using the installed MacOS computer and laptops

due to the variability in quality of USB ports in laptops, Classroom Technology Services strongly recommends using the installed MacOS computer for recording and dual-delivery instruction

please note that laptop connections with the cameras and microphones use a USB-A connector; laptops without a USB-A port require a user-provided adapter
Additional technology information about Goddard Laboratories 101:
- CD playback is available using the laptop optical drive and/or the Blu-ray™ player.
- Region-free DVD playback is available using the Blu-ray™ player.
- DVD playback is also available using the laptop optical drive.

The projector and video display in this classroom will shut down automatically after 30 minutes of inactivity as measured by seating area vacancy sensors.

The projector in this classroom uses an alternate light source in lieu of traditional lamps.

Access to Goddard Laboratories 101 is restricted and a combination to the door lock may be required for entry. The lock combination can be obtained by contacting John Robinson at 215-746-2699. Please do not share this combination with others, including the students in your class.

Join us in reducing Penn's carbon footprint by using the classroom controls to turn off the projector/video display at the end of your class/event. You'll save energy and help us save money by extending the life of the audiovisual system components.
